Mollyana Ward

Mollyana Ward’s commitment to education began not in politics, but in her own home. As a young mother determined to build a better future, she earned her GED while raising her three sons, an experience that shaped her deep respect for perseverance and the role education plays in changing lives. She went on to become a member of Phi Theta Kappa International College Honor Society while studying Mass Communications at Hillsborough Community College, continuing to build a foundation rooted in growth, discipline, and opportunity.

As both a mother and educator, Mollyana homeschooled her sons for a decade after identifying gaps in the traditional system. Each of them later transitioned into and graduated from Pasco County public high schools, giving her a unique, firsthand understanding of both alternative and traditional education models.

Her professional work in early childhood education further deepened that perspective. Mollyana owned and operated an accredited childcare facility, Molly’s Corner, where she earned the State of Florida’s Gold Seal of Excellence and completed hundreds of hours of specialized training. She later taught continuing education at Seminole State College, instructing a course focused on childcare and safety. At just 22 years old, she was elected President of the Central Florida Association for Family Child Care, reflecting early recognition of her leadership in the field.

That lifelong commitment to children and families extends into her community service. Mollyana has directed children’s and youth ministries, supported youth development programs, and chaired the Women of Wesley Chapel initiative for the North Tampa Bay Chamber. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Bridging Freedom, an organization dedicated to helping young girls who have been victims of human trafficking rebuild their lives. She has also served in advisory roles to Congressman Gus Bilirakis and Pasco County Schools Superintendent Dr. John Legg, offering perspective shaped by her experience as both a parent and a practitioner.

In parallel, Mollyana has built a successful career as an entrepreneur and business leader. A licensed Realtor since 2013 and former Broker-Owner, she now partners with LPT Realty, where she continues to mentor agents while dedicating more of her time to business leadership, community initiatives, and public service. She is Co-Founder, alongside her husband Gordie Zimmermann, and serves as Chief Strategy Officer of Icemann Development, where she focuses on long-term planning and community-centered projects across Florida. She is also the founder of RAW Space Collaborative, a coworking environment designed to support small businesses and startups in Wesley Chapel.

Her leadership extends throughout the real estate industry. Mollyana serves as a Florida Realtors Director and contributes to both the Tech Committee and the Workforce and Affordable Housing Think Tank. Locally, she has been actively engaged in public policy efforts and industry leadership since 2017, advocating for responsible growth, housing accessibility, and strong communities.

Her story is also one of resilience. After losing her husband of 25 years to brain cancer in 2019, Mollyana rebuilt her life while continuing to raise her family and grow her businesses. She later married Gordie Zimmermann, and together they share a blended family of five sons. Today, she is a proud grandmother to six grandchildren, a role that keeps her grounded in what matters most.

Mollyana brings to the table a rare combination of lived experience, professional leadership, and long-standing community involvement. Her life’s work has consistently centered on one focus: strengthening families and creating better outcomes for children.
